Elizabeth C. Lorusso, 84, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 24, 2013, at Highland Manor, Exeter.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, on Nov. 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Buzink Ryman.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains Township, and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Wilkes-Barre. Elizabeth was employed for many years as a registered nurse by Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of the former St. Therese's Church, Wilkes-Barre.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Dr. Vincent Lorusso, in 2007; her son, David Lorusso, in 2004; and her daughter, Ann Brinola, in 2011.

Surviving are daughter, Lisa Lorusso, Willow Grove; granddaughters, Andrea Pullo and her husband, John, Clarks Summit; Amy Salsberg and her husband, Ben, Shavertown; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Mia Salsberg, Shavertown; and son-in-law, Michael Brinola, Trucksville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:15 a.m. Monday from the Bednarski & Thomas Funeral Home, 27 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at noon in St. Therese's Church, Shavertown. The Rev. James Paisley will officiate.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call from 9 to 11:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
