Elizabeth (Betty) Galazin, 95, formerly of Church Street, Plymouth, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Mercy Center, Dallas.

She was the daughter of the late Louis and Anna Smolok Kockel. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1936, and was last employed by Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, until her retirement.
She was a member of All Saints Church (formerly St. Vincent), Plymouth, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the Silver and Gold Club, and Trinity House Seniors (where she would play cards every Wednesday). Elizabeth (Betty) also served as the first Eucharistic minister for St. Vincent's Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, in November 2004; brother, Louis Kockel; sister, Mary Shurina; and sister, Anna Kennedy.
Surviving are her daughter, Sister Sandra, Maryknoll, N.Y.; son, John, and daughter-in-law, Clara, Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughter, Nancy Orlowski, and son-in-law, John, Harrisburg; grandchildren, Jennifer Levy, Karen Montana, Kathleen Krull, Matthew, Sarabeth and Michael Orlowski; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from Kielty-Moran Funeral Home Inc., 87 Washington Ave., Plymouth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. in All Saints Church, Plymouth. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Larksville.
