Eugene Fenstermacher Obituary
Born in Dorrance Twp. on Aug. 28, 1927, he was the son of the late Harvey and Ruth Moyer Fenstermacher. He graduated from Newport High School and served in the U.S. Navy. After an honorable discharge, he was employed by Sandvik, and later by Eberhard Faber. Prior to retirement, he worked at Mideast Aluminum.
Gene was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mountain Top.
He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, and in his younger years also trapped. He liked to relax while watching baseball games.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, May L. Rinehimer Fenstermacher, this past December, as well as his parents and his sister, Lois Chapin.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Brent Fenstermacher and wife, Donna, Mountain Top; Brenda Hagemo and husband, Lloyd, Edina, Minn.; and Dale Fenstermacher, Sellersville; six cherished grandsons, Tyler, Erich, Damien, Nathan, Brian and Alec; four adored great-grandchildren; brother, Floyd "Nick" Fenstermacher; and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Heller Funeral Home LLC, Nescopeck, is assisting his family.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 316 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, PA 18707.
