Florence C. Mickno, 93, of Kingston, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, in Residential Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Hospital, after a long illness.

She was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Kingston to the late Peter and Marcella Przeplata Klecha. She was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1944.

She worked in the local textile industry before being united in Holy Matrimony to her husband, Walter, in 1967. She lived and worked on their farm in Hunlock Creek until his death in 1989. She then retired to her hometown of Kingston. In her retirement, she enjoyed reading, puzzles, handicrafts, cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by all her siblings, Catherine, Stanley, Ann, Joe, John, Helen and Theodore.

She is survived by her daughter, Paulette (Jim), Lake Silkworth; grandsons, Luke Ronczka, Lake Silkworth and Mark Ronczka (Jenn), Dallas; great-grandchildren, Mason, Mitchell, Cory and Cora; sister-in-law, Ann D. Klecha, Kingston; nephew and primary caregiver, Eric P. Klecha, Kingston; and several other nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday from Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church, 339 N. Maple Ave., Kingston. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Lake Silkworth.

Viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
