Florence E. Johns, 87, of Hanover Township passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012.
Born July 24, 1925, in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna Tomaszewski Egenski Sr.
She was a graduate of Plymouth High School and a member of the former St. Casimir's Church, Hanover Township.
In past years, she had been employed by Acme Markets, Plymouth, Old River Road Bakery, Wilkes-Barre, and Wyoming National Bank.
She was a member of the local Women's Bridge Club.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, William C.; son, William R.; brothers, Joseph, Costic, Frank, Theodore, Edward, Stanley and Leonard Egenski; and sisters, Elizabeth Zawatski Skunt and Stacia Narcum.
Surviving are children, Robert W. Johns and fiancee, Melissa Beach, Shickshinny; and Joanne Wanyo and husband, Gary, Harveys Lake; two grandchildren, Bryce W. and William R. Johns; brother, Benjamin Egenski, Plymouth; sister, Irene Yozviak, Oakton, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews.
A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family from S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek. There will be no calling hours.
