Frances L. (Fran) Day, 68, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Friday evening, Nov. 1, 2013, at her home.

Born in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of Albert Lescavage of North Arlington, N.J., and the late Celia Budzeika Lescavage.
Fran was a graduate of Edwardsville High School, and was employed as a security guard by Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, for 25 years until her retirement.
Fran was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 558, Plains Township, the Fraternal Order of Police, and was an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Celia Budzeika Lescavage.
Surviving, in addition to her father, Albert, are her aunts and uncles; friends, Barbara Shane, Taylor; Mark and Joanne, with whom she had coffee with daily; and numerous friends.
Funeral services for Fran will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with the Rev. Mark Desilva, pastor of Living Hope Bible Church, Plains Township, officiating.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
