Frederick C. Konze, 73, a resident of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Konze was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Albert and Catherine Madero Konze. He graduated from high school in Brooklyn and served with the Army as a private for several years. He had been a truck driver most of his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline.
Surviving are his daughters, Patricia Watklezicz and Eileen Buscemi; a son, Albert Konze; and a brother, John Konze, all of Wilkes-Barre; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from Hess-Miller Funeral Home, 64-19 Metropolitan Ave., Middle Village, N.Y., with interment in Linden Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood, N.Y. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hess-Miller Funeral Home.
Local arrangements are by H. Merritt Hughes Funeral Home Inc., a Golden Rule Funeral Home, 451 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
