Frederick T. Savitski of Larksville died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Larksville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Pascoe Savitski and was a graduate of Larksville High School.

Fred worked for Doty Construction as a pipe fitter, was a dedicated Eagles fan and enjoyed hunting, gardening and fishing.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his sister, Doris Dady, and brothers, Walter Savitski and Leonard Savitski.

Fred is survived by his loving companion of 32 years, Pam Ivanitch, Larksville; stepdaughter, Christina (Shawn) Fenner; grandchildren, Haley, Isabella, Harper, Alissa and Shawn Jr.; brothers, Joseph Savitski, Florida; and Thomas Savitski, Edwardsville; sisters, Lillian Hochreither, Mountain Top; Mary Bonzinski, Lancaster; and Ruth Nareski, Williamsport, Md.; and many nieces and nephews.

A blessing service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville, with the Rev. Gerald Gurka of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville, officiating.

Friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday or from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
