Genevieve "Genny" Millham, 83, of Mountain Top, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums.

She was born June 28, 1934, in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Myron Franckowiak and Louise Ciemny Franckowiak.

She married the love of her life, James J. Millham, on May 15,1954. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage until his death in July 2014.

Genny attended Wilkes-Barre area schools and graduated from James M. Coughlin High School in 1952. Immediately following her graduation, she went to work at Franklin First Federal Bank as a teller. She held this position until her son, Patrick, was born. She later returned to the same bank, which was then known as First Federal Bank, at their Mountain Top branch.

Genny enjoyed many years as a homemaker. She learned many skills such as canning, baking and cooking ethnic recipes from her mother-in-law, Nellie Millham. Anyone visiting her home was always treated to her delicious, freshly baked treats. As Nellie's health failed, Genny dedicated herself to caring for her until her passing in 1983.

A devoted Catholic, Genny was a member of St. Jude Church, Mountain Top. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She especially enjoyed her weekly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Genny spent countless hours volunteering for church-affiliated events. She also enjoyed many years bowling on the St. Jude's Sunday night team along with her husband, Jim. In addition, she was a member of the Mountain Top Women's Club and the Mountain Top Senior Center.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley Franckowiak, Matthew Franckowiak, Leo Franckowiak and Clement Franckowiak, and sisters, Agnes Martincavage and Celia Franckowiak.

She will be greatly missed by her devoted son, Patrick J. Millham Sr. and his wife, Mary, Bloomsburg. She is also survived by her two beloved grandchildren, Patrick Millham Jr. and Angela Carlin and her husband, Ryan. Also surviving are her sister, Florence F. Lenahan, and several nieces and nephews.

Genny's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums, for the care they provided her over the last three years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Jude Church, 420 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. The family asks that those attending go directly to the church.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Desiderio Funeral Home, 436 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top.
