George P. Latsko, 91, of Warner Street, Plains Township, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Manorcare, Kingston.

Born June 28, 1921, in Plains Township, he was the son of the late Andrew and Susan Kosco Latsko.

George was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School and King's College.

He was an Army Air Corps B-17 waist gunner with the 15th Air Force in North Africa and Italy in World War II.

George was formerly employed by Kingston Provision Co. and later by the Pennsylvania Department of Unemployment.

He was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church of Wilkes-Barre.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Kunec Latsko; brothers, John and Edward (Jim) Latsko; and sister, Emily Loss.

Surviving are children, Judith and husband, James Kunec, Cape May, N.J.; and Sandra and husband, Ron Hall, New Cumberland; sister, Charlotte Luchetti, Pittston; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Latsko, Plains Township; numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township, with Office of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dallas. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Parastas will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. James Hayer officiating.
