Glenn P Scalfer Jr., 37, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General hospital surrounded by family members.

Born Jan. 12, 1977, a son of Glenn and the late Sandra Quick Scalfer. He resided in Maine, and graduated from Monmouth Academy before moving to Wilkes-Barre.

Glenny had a smile and a silly grin that would make you smile even if you were having a bad day. He loved to work on cars and get all greasy and then pretend to wipe it all over you. He loved fishing, going to the shooting range and was a Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He loved going shopping, yard work and anything to get him out of the house. He will be sadly missed and loved by all but he is now in his mom's arms.

In addition to his mother, Glenny was preceded in death by uncles, Thomas and Wayne and an aunt, Brenda.

Surviving are his father, Glenn, sisters, Danielle Tremblay and husband, John; Tracy Strout and husband, Joe; nieces, Marissa and Morgan; and nephews, Christopher and Justin; aunts, uncles, cousins and Barbara, Steven, Nicole, Irelynn and Brooklynn Bono.

The family will receive friends and celebrate Glenn's life from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bednarski & Thomas Funeral Home, 27 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre.

A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
