Helené V. Kocher, 91, formerly of Kunkle, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Mercy Center, Dallas, where she resided for the last 10 years.

Mrs. Kocher was born in Marseille, France, on Aug. 15, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Elia and Rose Godoli Maggi.
Helené was a stenographer in France, where she worked for an auto company. She then came to America as a World War II bride in 1947. Helené was a loving homemaker who loved plants, flowers, and was a wonderful cook. Helené and her husband of 57 years, the late Eugene R. Kocher, enjoyed traveling to Florida and other parts of the United States in their motor home. Her love for music and dance will always be remembered. She had many friends and will be missed by those at Mercy Center.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Georgette Kocher.
Helené is survived by her children, George Kocher and his wife, Marion, Harveys Lake; Paulette Wesley, Dallas; Jean Pierre Kocher, Dallas; Donna Newell and her husband, Jim, Harveys Lake; and Jerry Kocher, Dallas; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. Richard Womer of Tunkhannock Assembly of God Church officiating.
Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
