Hubert G. "Bud" Pfingsten, 94, a resident of Wyoming and formerly of Swoyersville, passed into eternal life on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

His first wife of 47 years was the late Agnes C. Kopetchny Pfingsten, passed away Dec. 11, 1993, and his second wife of 13 years was the late Mary Ann Pavco Yarmey Pfingsten, passed away Jan. 12, 2009.

Born Oct. 20, 1923, in Swoyersville, Hubert was one of four children born to the late Hubert and Christina Lamoreaux Pfingsten.

Raised in Swoyersville, Bud was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1942.

A United States Army Air Corps veteran, Bud honorably served his country for over three years during World War II as a B29 Flight Engineer.

Prior to his retirement, Bud was employed as a tool and die maker in the manufacturing industry.

Bud was a longtime member of the former Holy Name/St. Mary's Parish Community, Swoyersville.

A proud veteran, Bud held membership with the American Legion, Andrew Lawrence Post 644, Swoyersville.

In addition to his parents, Hubert and Christina Pfingsten, his first wife, Agnes, and his second wife, Mary Ann, Bud was preceded in death by his brothers, John and William Pfingsten; and his sister, Elizabeth Schultz.

Bud is survived by his sister-in-law, Betty (Pavco) Pfingsten, Tampa, Fla.; his six step-children; his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as his nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bud's blessing service which will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort. The Rev. Joseph J. Pisaneschi, pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, will officiate. The Rite of Committal will be offered at the conclusion of the service.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.

Family and friends are invited to Bud's viewing from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
