James J. (Squibber) Middleton, 61, of Pittston Township passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Pittston Township, he was the son of the late John Middleton and Mae McHugh Middleton. He was a member of St. Barbara's Parish (St. Anthony's Church). He was a graduate of the Pittston Area High School.
James was employed as a supervisor by the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
James loved his wife more than life itself and was devoted to her. He also loved his dog, Valentina, the Michigan Wolverines and sports all together. He also was involved in the Pittston Township Little League.
James is survived by his wife, the former Laurie Lugar; son, Brooks Middleton and his wife, Kim, West Pittston; daughter, Melissa McNulty; grandchildren, Isabella and Sophia; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving in-laws, Andrew and Florence Lugar, Exeter.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. in St. Barbara's Parish (St. Anthony's Church), Exeter.
Internment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
