Jerome J. Hudyck, 79, of Exeter, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at his home.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Michael and Julia (Chorba) Hudyck. He was a graduate of Exeter High School, Class of 1957. After graduating high school, Jerry was employed by David Brooks, Plains Twp. as the dock manager before transferring with Robert Scott, Ltd. to Boston, Mass.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Joan Fetch, and sister, Dolores Ann Morgan.

Jerry enjoyed talking sports with his buddies Herbie and Mike and was a loyal fan of the Notre Dame, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles football teams. Jerry was a member of Hose Company No. 2, Wyoming.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston.

Surviving are Sue Christian, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Maria Parra (Frank), Wyoming; Judy Blaine (Michael), Larksville; Robert Christian (Lori), Wyoming; grandchildren, Michael Blaine, Larksville; Eliana Parra, Wyoming; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and two great-great-nephews.

His family expresses their love and appreciation to his niece, Paulette Terrana-Haddock, so much of what you did was above and beyond and will never be forgotten. The family also would like to acknowledge the love, compassion and invaluable support of Prudy, Donna and Josephine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Church of Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, with the celebrant Monsignor John J. Sempa officiating. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Cedar Street, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, 150 Monument Road #402, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004, or Blue Chip Farm Animal Rescue, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612.
