John B. (Cheech) Madrack, 86, of Plymouth passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013.

He was a graduate of Plymouth High School. He was a Merchant Marine for 15 years and later became proprietor of Shawnee Tavern, Plymouth, for 33 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kostick and Mary Cooney Madrack; and brother, Bernard.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, the former Henrietta Novak; brother, Edward (Mary), New Jersey; sister, Dolores Wilkes, Connecticut; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday from S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth, with Mass at 10 a.m. in All Saints Parish, Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday.
