John F. Pawloski, 86, of Plains Township passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 22, 2013, at Celtic Health Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Plains Township, he was a son of the late Stanley and Josephine Ornoski Pawloski. He was educated in the Plains Township schools.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II aboard the USS Baltimore.
John was employed by Kraft Associates, Wilkes-Barre, prior to his retirement.
John and his wife, the former Dolores Benkoski, celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on April 22, 2013.
John was preceded in death by his son, John (Jackie) Pawloski; granddaughter, Valerie Pawloski; and grandson, John Pawloski. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Chester, Frank, Joseph and Edward, and a sister, Genevieve Klepach.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Dolores, are his son, Robert Pawloski and his partner, Florence Olerta, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Debrah Serbin and her husband, Bernie, Exeter; daughter, Jo-Ann Oney, Wyoming; daughter, Carol Frey and her husband, Ernest, Plymouth; son, James Pawloski and his partner, Rebecca Estock, Plains Township; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
