John Muntz Obituary

John J. Muntz, 53, of Nanticoke, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 8, 2017, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.

Born in Nanticoke on Sept. 1, 1964, John was the son of the late John G. and Joyce Jakes Muntz.

John was a Navy veteran and was employed by Caremark Corp. and was a member of Alden Methodist Church, prior to its closing.

He was active in the American Legion, Post 350, 400 Club and the Eagles Club, all of Nanticoke; Italian Club, Glen Lyon; and the Outpost Sportsman Club, Lake Silkworth.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, is his brother, Robert.

Surviving are his wife, the former Linda Dirreen Muntz; son, John Matthew; brother, Michael and wife, Terry; aunt, Ann and uncle, Jim Guzenski; and aunt, Lorena and uncle, David Bloom; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday from Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home Inc. 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of services Wednesday.
