John M. Germak, 64, of Plains Township passed away peacefully, Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in the Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Edwardsville, son of the late John and Caroline Mahan Germak.
He attended Edwardsville schools and worked as a delivery driver for Keyco Wholesale for many years.
He was a member of the North End Slovak Club.
Beside his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, the former Carol Ann Chopak.
He is survived by daughters, Michelle, Angela and Dawn, all at home; sisters, Carolyn Germak, Kingston; Charlotte Kachurak and her husband, Robert, Edwardsville; and Ruth Gronchick and her husband, Jerry, Edwardsville; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerby Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Shavertown. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
