Joseph Eckrote Obituary

Joseph Eckrote, 80, of Wanamie, passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at home.

Born Sept. 15, 1937, Joseph attended Newport High School. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Daisy; his father, Joseph; his brothers, Calvin, Floyd and Harold "Blackie" Eckrote; his sisters, Sarah Rubright, Clara "Sis" Stewart and Olivia "WeeWee" Wysocki; and his infant grandson, Jaxon Joseph, who Joseph could not wait to be with again.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Martha; his two sons, William and Cory; and his granddaughters, Kaitlin and Cassidy. He is also survived by his sisters, Lydia Bujno and Millie Tronsue.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home Inc. Funeral Home, 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with a service immediately following.
