Joseph "Joe" Kosisher, a resident of Inkerman, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Kingston, Joe was the son of the late Frank and Mary Medvic Kosisher.

Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed in the dietary department of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Plains Twp., from where he retired in 2002.

Joe was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his only brother, Frank Kosisher.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of nearly 46 years, Mary Ann Asklar Kosisher; his only daughter, MaryJo Demski and her husband, Jeff, Orefield; and his three feline companions, April, Shayla and Tiffany.

His wife and daughter would like to express their sincere gratitude to the ICU nurses at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for the excellent care Joe received while there, particularly Nurse Marie.

Private funeral services will be held from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Swoyersville.

There will be no public calling hours. Remember Joe for his smile and say a prayer in his memory.
