Joseph M. Aquilina of Wilkes-Barre passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Plains Township.

Born July 26, 1932, in Pittston, he was a son of the late Michael Aquilina and Nellie (Amico) Giannone-Aquilina. He was a 1952 graduate of Pittston High School.

He worked for Techneglas for more than 35 years.

He was a proud member of St. Rocco's Holy Name Society for more than 50 years. He was also a member of the Big Band Society.

In his spare time, Joe enjoyed ballroom dancing and traveling all over the world.

Surviving are his brothers, Tony and wife, Margaret Aquilina, Dupont; and Vincent Aquilina and companion, Joanne Halowich, Plains Township; and sisters, Angeline Buscarino, Long Island, N.Y.; and Josephine (Feenie) Amico, Easton. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Aquilina, Samuel (Cakie) Giannone and Cataldo (Ky) Aquilina, and sisters, Sadie Argento and Mary Polit.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Township.

Viewing hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Thursday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from St. Joseph Marello Parish, William Street, Pittston.

Interment services will be held in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
