Joseph W. Romashko, 83, of Plymouth, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Hampton House, Sans Souci Parkway.

Born Nov. 27, 1935, in Hanover Twp., Joseph was the son of the late Alex and Mary Zubick Romashko.

Joseph was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1953, and attended Wilkes College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Union Carbide Corp., New Jersey; Kanarr Corp., Kingston; and the U.S. Postal Service. Joseph retired in 1998 after serving 30 years as a mail carrier in Plymouth.

Joseph was preceded in death by his sisters, Veronica Burak, Helen Nadia and Evelyn Romashko; and brothers, John, James and Michael Romasko.

Surviving are his sisters, Marie Bell, Texas; Irene Zak and her husband, Joseph, Wilkes-Barre; and Nancy Kahl, Plains Twp.; brothers, Thomas Romashko and his wife, Barbara, Hanover Twp.; Ronald Romashko and his wife, Rita, Luzerne; Lawerence Romashko and his wife, Doris, Shavertown; and David Romashko, Plymouth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with interment in Ss. Peter and Paul Ukranian Catholic Cemetery, Plymouth Twp.

Arrangements are entrusted to S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth.
