Josephine L. Tedesco, 94, of Wilkes-Barre died Wednesday morning, Jan. 22, 2014, in Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville.

Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Angelina Madonna Tedesco. She was a graduate of GAR High School, Wilkes-Barre.
Josephine had resided at Shenandoah Nursing Facility since July 2005.
She had been a long-time member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union, working as a sewing machine operator.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church and Holy Rosary Italian Church, both in Wilkes-Barre.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Tedesco, Minersville; three nieces, Linda M. Wameling, Macungie; Diane Pisch, Lewes, Del.; and Dawn McGowan, North Wales, Pa.; grandnieces and grandnephews; great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held at Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., 436 S. Mountain Blvd. (state Route 309), Mountain Top, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Deacon Eugene Kovatch of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
