Joy R. Lewis, 91, of Kingston passed away Sunday night, Nov. 24, 2013, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

She was born May 23, 1922, in England, came to this country in 1947 and settled in Kingston.
She and her husband, the late Thomas P. Lewis, operated City Appliance in Kingston for many years.
Joy was a member of the Irem Auxiliary in Dallas, the Wyoming Valley Women's Club of Wilkes-Barre, and she participated by helping at the Irem Shriners' annual circus for the past 62 years.
Surviving are her companion, Cliff Troup, Trucksville; daughters, Nancy Roder and husband, Joe, Lewes, Del.; and Shirley Fowler and husband, Jim, Brigantine, N.J.; son, Michael and wife, Debbie, Norfolk, Mass.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
Arrangements are under the direction of Karl E. Blight Funeral Home, Kingston.
Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners' Crippled Children's Hospital, care of the Irem Shriners in Dallas.
