Julia G. Kashnicki, 85, of Waterton Road, Shickshinny, died Tuesday morning, June 18, 2013, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born May 18, 1928, in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Lillian Raski Wiesneski.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish/St. Martha's Church, Fairmount Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Kashnicki, in 1977.

Surviving are her two sons, Raymond and Chester Kashnicki, both of Shickshinny; three daughters, Cynthia Seashock, Marlene Ford and Chris Robak, all of Shickshinny; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lillian Penko, Nanticoke; Louise Baker, Glen Lyon; and MaryAnn Andrukaitis, Kingston.

Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday at Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 77 N. Main St., Shickshinny, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit Parish/St. Martha's Church, Fairmount Springs, with the Rev. James Rafferty as celebrant.

Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Sheatown.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
