Julia (Julie) P. Ondeck, 103, of Taylor died peacefully at the home of her daughter, Constance Gunshore, with whom she resided and granddaughter, Lisa, Gunshore, her caregiver. Her husband, Michael, passed away Jan. 28, 1985.

Born June 15, 1910, and was raised in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of the late Roman and Josephine Wienkosky Boniesky. Julia was a former member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Swoyersville. She was loving, kind and gracious mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank Dr. John Diakiw, the VNA Hospice nurses and staff, and a special heartfelt gratitude to the hospice nurse, Loretta C., for her care, compassion and comfort in staying with the family at this most difficult time.
Surviving are her daughter, Constance; grandchildren, Dave and Lisa Gunshore; nephews and nieces,
An 8-year-old son, Raymond; two sisters, Martha and Genevieve Boneski; and two brothers, Michael and Theodore Boneski preceded her in death.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann's Basilica Parish.
