Julia V. Pugh, 99, of Plains Twp., passed away Monday morning, Nov. 5, 2018, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Barnesboro, she was the daughter of the late John and Justina Prokopy Veliky.

Julia attended Sacred Heart High School, Plains Twp., and was employed as a floor lady by Kingston Juvenile Baby Furniture, until her retirement.

She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Twp., and enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Leo. Julia also loved camping at Keen Lake, Waymart, for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo J. Pugh, on Dec. 5, 1982; sisters, Mary Butch, Helen Shuleski and Anna Evans; and brothers Joseph, Stephen, John, and Peter Veliky and John Prokopy.

Surviving are her daughter, Rita DePasquale, Plains Twp.; son, Leo Pugh and his wife, Rose, Pringle; grandchildren, Guy DePasquale, Leslie Gabriel and Delenna Kabalka; great-grandchildren, Julia Gabriel, Jadon DePasquale and Mick and Emily Kabalka; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Julia will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Twp., with the Rev. John C. Lambert officiating. Private interment will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plains Twp.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
