Kenneth D. Phillips, 38, of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 8, 2018, at home.

He was born in Wilmington, Del., on Nov. 1, 1979, and was the son of Leonard P. Phillips Jr. of Buffalo, N.Y., and Joanne Hartrim of Ocala, Fla.

Kenneth was a journeyman at Offset Paperback in Dallas, where he was employed for the last 20 years.

He bred, raised and loved his Newfoundland dogs. Kenneth was an accomplished cook who enjoyed preparing and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kelly Harroun.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of nine years, Ruth Pearl Kennedy; brother, Tom Cousineau, Arizona; sisters, Kasey Hersey, Oregon; and Heather Hartrim-Lowe, Washington; and stepfather, Bob Hartrim, Ocala, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are by Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the , 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
