Laurene A. Sannipoli, 74, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at her home in Denville, N.J.

Laurene was born in Wilkes-Barre, and was a resident of Denville since 1966. She was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1959, and received her BSN from St. Joseph's College in Vermont. She was the director of emergency services at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville for 30 years service and retired in 1997. After her retirement, she was employed by EMA, Emergency Medical associates, for five years. Laurene was an avid bingo and pinochle player.

Laurene was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, in 2000.

She is survived by her son, David P. Sannipoli; and her daughter, Nancy Young and her husband, Jack; and her two grandchildren, Christopher Sannipoli and Megan Young; and her sister, Nancy Koury; and her two nieces, Denise and Michelle.

Services will be conducted from the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, N.J.,, (please share a memory of Laurene on website), Wednesday at 8:45 a.m., with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial service in St. Mary's Church. Interment service will be in Denville Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
