Lawrence Francis Joseph, 88, formerly of Kingston, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, at Highland Manor, Exeter.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Russell and Cecelia Thomas Joseph.

Prior to his retirement, he was owner/operator along with his brother, John, of several Holiday Pancake Houses throughout Northeast Pennsylvania, as well as Apples Family Restaurant, Wilkes-Barre; M&M Produce, Hazleton; and Holiday Market, White Haven.

He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, and a life member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 3987.

Everyone who knew Larry loved him! He would brighten their day with a smile and a joke.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Savage Joseph; brother, Joseph Joseph, Wilkes-Barre; sister, Theresa Chesvick, California; and brother, Leonard Joseph, Florida.

He is survived by his children, Linda Joseph and fiancé, Paul Swales, Naples, Fla.; Terri Usher and husband, Chuck, White Haven; Marianne Schwartz and husband, Tom, Virginia; and Lawrence Joseph and wife, Lisa, Mountain Top; grandchildren, Gary and Chris Ostroski, Chuck Usher, Lori Artemik, Lisa DiPalma and Larisa and Marcus Joseph; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Landis Ostroski, Madison Ostroski and Aiden Artemik; sisters, Jane Yazbeck, Bethlehem; and Thalia Assaf, Atlanta, Ga.; brother, John Joseph, Safety Harbor, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with the Rev. Andrew Sinnot officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
