Lorraine Szot Obituary
Born Oct. 11, 1931, in Newport Twp., Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Caroline Berjewski.
Lorraine attended Newport schools and helped run her family business, the Miners Cafe in Nanticoke.
Lorraine was a devoted mother and housewife. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and now St. Faustina Parish. She also belonged to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post 350, Nanticoke.
Lorraine was preceded in death by a son, Michael Szot.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Chester A. Szot; son, Mark Szot; and grandsons, Mark Szot Jr. and Christian Szot.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday in the main site of St. Faustina Parish, Hanover Street, Nanticoke.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke.
Lorraine will be laid to rest in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Nanticoke.

sorry for your loss. she was a sweet lady. when my uncle Bernard Augustine would come in from Maryland he would always make it a point to visit her and her husband Chet and would take me with him. Rest in Peace.
