Lottie M. Stanick, 88, of Ashley, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

She was born in Hanover Twp., on April 28, 1930, the daughter of Kostek and Mary (Klimuski) Sepko. She attended Hanover Twp. area schools.

Lottie was a member of St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church where she was an active participant in church functions. She was especially involved in pierogi making for the church's annual festival. She also devoted many hours of working bingo at the church and also enjoyed playing the game as well.

Preceding her in death were brothers, Frank and John Sepko and sister, Stella.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Frank W. Stanick, at home; son, Frank E. Stanick, Ashley; daughter, Carol Sheetz, Wilkes Barre; granddaughter, Michelle Baker, Wilkes Barre; and sisters, Josephine Campbell and Phyllis McKeown. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the George A. Strish, Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, 33 Manhattan St., Ashley.

Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, St. John's Walk, Hanover Twp.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 8:30 am until the time of service.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the entire staff of the ICU and emergency department of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp., for their excellent care and compassion given to Lottie in her time of need.
