Margaret F. Woznock, 90, formerly of Ashley, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.

She was born in Sugar Notch, on June 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Adam and Margaret Wegrzynowicz Koneski. She attended Hanover High School.

"Marge," as she was affectionately known, was a resident of Ashley since 1959, where she was a member of St.Leo's/Holy Rosary Church and the Altar and Rosary/St. Ann's Society.

Marge also worked for many years at St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church. She was an active member who volunteered her time and efforts until the age of 87. She was well known for her pierogi making skills during Lent and Bazaar time.

She was employed in the garment industry as a sewing machine operator, retiring 1990. Marge was an avid sewer, custom drape maker and an impeccable presser, items of which she enjoyed providing to her family.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 32 years, Robert M. Woznock, who died on May 24, 1981; daughter, Sharon Soroka; grandson, Robert Slavinski; brothers, William, Adam and Chester Koneski; sister, Irene Vincent; and longtime companion of 19 years, Walter Tarasek, Plains Twp.

Surviving are sons, Robert Woznock, Virginia Beach, Va.; Richard Woznock (Vicky), Camp Hill; Ronald Woznock (Susan), Harveys Lake; daughter, Margie (Thomas) Slavinski; son-in-law, Charles Soroka, Ashley; brother, James Koneski (Dawn), Wilkes-Barre; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, 33 Manhattan St., Ashley. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in her memory, to St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, 33 Manhattan St., Ashley, PA 18706.

The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home by the Altar and Rosary/St.Ann's Society.
