Margaret V. Schrama, 97, of Hunlock Creek, passed away Tuesday at the Birchwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke.

Born on March 23, 1916, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances Sobieski Mizdail. Margaret was a graduate of Harter High School, Plymouth Township. During World War II, Margaret worked for Hazard Wire and Rope Company. Later, she was employed at MacGregor Company and Mara Manufacturing, both in Nanticoke.

Along with her late husband, Edward T. Schrama, Sr., who passed away on Oct. 6, 1985, she owned and operated Schrama Store in Hunlock Creek. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene, Frank and Dennis Mizdail; and sister, Leona Mizdail.

Surviving are daughter, Veronica Salansky; son, Edward (Tom) Schrama Jr.; sisters, Hedwig Kupersmit, Frances Castiglioni and Marie Mark; granddaughter Mrs. Ryan (Jodi) Schuh; great grandchildren, Kimberly, Allison and Connor.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from the Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home, Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth.

Interment will be in the parrish. Friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m.
