Marguerite (Peg) Guesto, 91, a former resident of Temple Apartments, Edwardsville, and formerly of Ashley, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at HCT-ManorCare, Kingston.

She was born in Larksville on Aug. 27, 1922, the daughter of the late John and Lucy Wright Healey. She attended Larksville area schools.

She was employed as a sales clerk by McCrory's and Winkler's Store. She also was the owner and operator of Peg's Ceramics for many years.

She was a former member of St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, Ashley.

Peg, as she was fondly known to her friends, was a member of the Senior Center of Kingston and served as a volunteer at the John Heinz Rehabilitation Center for more than 20 years.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, Phillip Swartwood, and second husband, Dominic Guesto; daughters, Phyllis Collotty and Sharon Banesh; infant grandaughter, Karen Collotty; and brother, John Healey.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Debbie Rollman and her husband, Bill, Forty Fort; Phil Collotty and his wife, Tracy, Ashley; Carla Banesh-Finkbeiner and her husband, Tony, Ashley; and Ashley Banesh, Trappe; stepson, Gary Guesto and his wife, Emma, Wilkes-Barre; stepgrandchildren, Carla Myers and Allen, Nicholas and Katie Guesto; nine great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, Manhattan Street, Ashley.

Interment will be in Albert Cemetery, Wright Township.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140, or at the funeral home.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Drs. Mouallam and Briskie and to the nursing staff at HCR-ManorCare, Kingston, especially to Missy, Julie, Lori and Leslie, for the care and compassion given to Marguerite during her time of need.
