Marie H. Jover Schwiger, a resident of Forty Fort, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Timber Ridge Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late William Schwiger.

Born Nov. 14, 1925, in Casablanca, French Morocco, she was a daughter of the late Roberto Jover and Visitation Santander Jover.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family.

She was employed by San Diego, Calif., city schools and the Hanover Area School District.

Surviving are her daughters, Michele and husband, Ron Scheck, Venice, Fla.; Corinne and husband, Ray Zavada, Forty Fort; Patricia Young, San Diego, Calif.; and grandchildren, Stephanie Prince and Lorie Cormier; Erika, Amanda and Audrey Zavada; Jennifer and Brigitte Young; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Coy Prince; Taylor Cormier; and sisters, Micheline Casano and Francoise Caille.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by her brother, Robert Jover.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Township.

All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Marie will be laid to rest next to her late husband, William, who passed away in 1978. They will rest in peace together at Greenwood Memorial Park, San Diego, Calif.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marie's name to St. Monica's Parish, 363 W. Eighth St., West Wyoming, PA 18644.
