Marie T. Ellsworth was called home to the Lord while surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter Sharon Callahan on Monday, March 5, 2018.

Marie was born and raised in Plymouth and resided there for her entire life. She graduated from Plymouth High School, where she excelled in English studies. She was a member of St. Vincent's now known as All Saints Roman Catholic Church, in Plymouth.

She was preceded in death by her son, James A. Ellsworth; her brother, Joseph; sisters, Florence, Irene, Rose and Elizabeth; granddaughter, Amanda Ellsworth; and great-grandson, Kyle Callahan.

Marie was the daughter of the late William and Florence Butsavage Suprum. Marie is survived by her children, Linda Pagoda (Paul), Bethlehem; Cathy Levy (Henry), Nanticoke; Hope Ellsworth, Trout Lake, Wash.; Sharon Callahan, Port Matilda; Bill Ellsworth (Amy), Edwardsville; Mary Kopetchne, Shavertown; Holly Ratowski, Wilkes-Barre; and Kim Bonner (Dave), Fishing Creek; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Marie was a sweet and gentle soul and was loved by everyone who met her and was known affectionately as "Mother" to many. Marie was a faithful and devout Roman Catholic and put herself before all others. She was, first and foremost, a mother to all and loved spending time with her family, cooking delicious meals especially during the holidays, enjoyed family trips to amusement parks, writing poetry, reading books about the saints and remembering loved ones and friends with cards on special occasions.

The family would like to offer special love and appreciation to her daughter Sharon, granddaughter, Gena Callahan and aide, Kristen Werner, for all of their love, devotion and gentle care of our dear mother.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday from Kielty-Moran Funeral Home Inc., 87 Washington Ave., Plymouth. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in All Saints Parish, Willow Street, Plymouth.

Interment will be held in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
