Marilyn Pearl Hicks

Marilyn Pearl Hicks, 77, of Newport Twp., Nanticoke, passed away Sept. 27, 2017, at Celtic Hospice in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Eunice Cragle Adams.

Marilyn was of Lutheran faith.

She worked for Alta and Penn Footwear and last for RCA, Mountain Top.

She loved NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson, and also puzzles, flowers and camping with her family.

Marilyn was married to the late William J. Hicks, who died on Jan. 29, 2004; he had worked for Certain Teed Corp. for 37 years.

Preceding her in death were brothers, Donald, Edward and Williams; and sisters, Janice and Nancy; and her best friend, Thomas A. Martin, who passed away Jan. 5, 2010.

Surviving are daughter, Cheryl Addison and companion, David Reinhart, and her children, Stanley and Tracy; son, Joseph Adams and wife, Kathy, and their children, Tia, Sara, Jen and Jill; son, Eugene Adams and children, Eugene Jr., Jeremy, Jillian and Jena; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Elijah; step-great-grandchildren, Anthony, Chris, Alexi, Lauren, Aubrey and Jared; sisters, Patricia Graboske and Linda Hanlon, both of Glen Lyon; brothers, John Adams, Glen Lyon; and Ken Adams, Hanover section of Nanticoke; her best friends and nieces, Karen Waichulis, Lisa Boltz and Brenda Grabowski; many other nieces and nephews and cousins.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be next to her late husband, William, and her parents in Oakdale Cemetery, Hunlock Creek.
