Mark N. Falandys, 56, of Plains Twp., passed away Monday afternoon, May 14, 2018, at his home after a courageous battle against cancer.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Helen Baker Falandys of Wilkes-Barre and the late Anthony J. Falandys Sr.

Mark was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed as a sheet metal worker by Local 44 Sheet Metal Union.

Mark enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboys football with his two sons. They also enjoyed opening football cards together, sorting them and separating them into different collector folders. He also enjoyed cooking out on the grill in the warm weather and always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony J. Falandys Jr.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, Helen, are his wife, the former Elizabeth Urban, Plains Twp.; sons, A.J. Falandys, Kingston; and Mark Falandys, Plains Twp.; stepdaughter, Tonia Makowski and her husband, Scott, Wapwallopen, nine grandchildren; sister, Linda Mullery and her husband, Frank, Plains Twp.; and nephew, Frank Mullery Jr.

Funeral services for Mark will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Twp.

Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
