Martha E. Dennis, formerly of Northampton Street, Kingston, passed away Wednesday evening, March 20, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born Oct. 17, 1924 in Kingston, Martha was the daughter of the late George and Anna Kmetz Molitoris. She was a graduate of the former Kingston High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an office clerk by the former General Cigar Corp. of Kingston. Mrs. Dennis was a past member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Slovak Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Upon moving to Wilkes-Barre, Martha resided on High Street, and was an active member in the Wilkes-Barre Senior Citizens Center.
Her husband, William David Dennis, died Sept. 26, 1983. Also preceding her in death were brothers and sisters, Leonard D. Molitoris, Mildred M. Hunt, Irene M. Ceaser, George Molitoris, Stephen Molitoris and Evelyn M. Northcutt.
Surviving are sons, William D. Jr. and his wife, Rita A., Kingston; and James F. and his wife, Mary Ann R., Kingston; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Martha's funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the Hugh P. Boyle & Son Funeral Home Inc., 416 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, with Chaplin David R. Betts of Hospice of the Sacred Heart officiating. Interment will follow in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with family from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
