Marty Pleban, 59, of West Pittston passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Kingston on Feb. 18, 1954, he was the son of the late Mary Brislin Pleban.

He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Kingston, and Misericordia University, Dallas. He had been employed as a sales representative at Lindenmeyr Munroe in the paper and packaging industry. Marty was an avid golfer; a member of Fox Hill Country Club. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston. Marty was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Gloria Vullo Pleban; daughters, Lane Sincavage and her husband, Chris, Philadelphia; and Gloria Pleban, Philadelphia; grandson, Ryder Sincavage; sisters, Aynne Polinski and her husband, Tom, Canadensis and Mary Gorman and her husband, Tom, Forty Fort; maternal aunt, Imelda Kopstys, Forty Fort; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gloria and Louis Vullo, West Pittston; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carmella and Mike Garzella, West Pittston; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Cynthia Vullo, West Pittston; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. David Greenwald, Dr. David Askin and their staff as well as to Dr. Mark Schiowitz and the staff of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, in Corpus Christi Parish, Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Tuesday morning. Friends may call Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
