Mike Lavage of Scranton, known to friends as "Snake," passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the age of 56.

He was the son of the late William T. and Dorothy S. Siskovich Lavage.

Mike was born in Keyser, W.Va., but lived the majority of his life in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. He was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School and Wilkes University.

Mike previously worked at Iron City Sash and Door, Erie Materials and most recently Harvey Building Products.

Mike enjoyed cheering for the New York Yankees and Penn State football. He also enjoyed spending time with Nittany, his faithful dog companion. Mike was known for his sense of humor. His family and friends will have stories to tell for years.

He is survived by his beloved son, Skylar, Scranton; Skylar's mother, Kathy Ferrett, Scranton; sisters, Joanne Morgantini and husband, Eric, Forty Fort; and Carol Repshas and husband, Dave, Lancaster; and brother, Bill and wife, Cindy, Danville. Mike is also survived by five nephews and nieces, Aaron and Dan Lavage, Mandi Gigliotti, Eric Morgantini and Emily Repshas.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the immediate family from Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Twp.
