Mildred J. "Millie" Kielar, of Hanover Twp., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at her home.

Born Feb. 14, 1940, in Bear Creek Twp., she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Smacher Snyder.

Mildred was a 1958 graduate of St. Mary's High School, Wilkes-Barre, and attended Misericordia College.

Mildred, along with her late husband, Paul, owned and operated their own repair company, Delkendix, where Mildred served as vice president.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre; a volunteer firefighter for Askam Hose Company; the first lady admitted to the Lion's Club; the Senior Citizens Club; and various women's clubs throughout the area.

Millie enjoyed crochet and macramé in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Kielar, in 1996, and brother, Frederick Snyder Jr.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary E. Evans and her husband, Glenn, of Nottingham, Md.; and grandson, John Paul Evans.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Simon S. Russin Funeral Home Inc., 136 Maffett St., Plains Twp.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
