Myrtle A. Catnes, 100, of Nanticoke, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at The Pavillion at St. Luke Village, Hazleton.

Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Quoss Englehart.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Catnes was employed by the former Worth Clothing Store, Nanticoke. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Nanticoke.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J., in 1975; and siblings, Arthur, Ada Borman, Margaret, Carl, Letha, Edna Bielarski and Esther Hartman.
Surviving are her nieces, Leatha Buff, Conway, S.C.; Sheila Hayden, The Villages, Fla.; Cinda Hartman Lally, Berwick; and Sandra Honse, Port Carbon.
As per her wishes, funeral services were private. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Arrangements were by Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 173 E. Green St., Nanticoke.
