Peter E. Dziedzic, 81, formerly of Miners Mills, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, Feb. 14, 2013, at Commonwealth Hospice, St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre, with his family by his side.

Born in the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Peter and Eva (Bomba) Dziedzic.
Pete attended James M. Coughlin High School, and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, and also served in the Connecticut National Guard. He was employed as a welder by Foster-Wheeler of Mountain Top and Air Products of Wilkes-Barre, until his retirement. He was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains Township.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Ann Olsakowski, in 1988; brothers Benjamin, Edward, and Chester Dziedzic; sisters, Mary Kroll, and Sophie Czernota.
Surviving are his daughter, Karen Marie Johns, Dallas; grandson, William Peter Johns, Pringle; sisters, Stella Cybulski, Hudson; Theodora Golden, Wilkes-Bare; many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains Township. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
