Peter L. Roushey, 91, Shavertown, passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Dallas, he was the son of the late Peter and Nora Pollock Roushey and was a graduate of Dallas High School. He was a member of Dallas United Methodist Church, Dallas. Peter was very active in the church, in his early days.

Peter was a World War II veteran, who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was also a member of the Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post 672, Dallas, as well as a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 61, Free and Accepted Mason, Wilkes-Barre, Odd Fellows, and The Back Mountain Men's Ecumenical Group.

Peter was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He had worked as an electric draftsman for Smith Miller Associates, before his retirement.

Surviving are his wife, the former Carol Isely, at home; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Craig Gommer, pastor of Dallas United Methodist Church, officiating.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday.
