Ralph Bruce Nordmark, 70, of East Stroudsburg, died Monday morning, Dec. 3, 2018, while under hospice care in his home.

He was the husband of Linda Ann Metzgar Nordmark, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage on Sept. 12.

Born Sept. 20, 1948, in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Oliver E. Jr. and Jean E. Dickisson Nordmark and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.

He first worked for Edward R. Lawson Auto Parts for 20 years, having managed their Bangor store; and then was a custodian for the Pocono Mountain School District until retiring in 2011 after 20 years of service.

Ralph's hobbies included antique cars, flea marketing, traveling, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, surviving are three children, Kevin Lloyd Nordmark and wife, Christina, of Bear Creek Twp.; Brenda Ann VanBuskirk and husband, Jeffrey, Stroudsburg; and Tammi Lynn Strunk and husband, Scott, Stroudsburg; five grandchildren, Nathaniel VanBuskirk, of Stroudsburg; Samantha Nordmark, Bear Creek Twp.; Kurtis Nordmark, of Bear Creek Twp.; Travis Strunk, Stroudsburg; and Lucas Strunk, of Stroudsburg; two brothers, Theodore Nordmark and wife, Diane, Quakertown; and Albert Nordmark and wife, Charleen, Stroudsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday from William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg; with a viewing beginning at 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dorothy Stem officiating. Burial will follow in Stroudsburg Cemetery.
