Randolph Harchar, 60, formerly of Swoyersville, known as "Randy" to most, of Waverly Hall, Ga., passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018.

He was born Dec. 9, 1957, in Kingston to the late Jean Visco Harchar and Rudolph Harchar.

After highschool, Randy joined the U.S. Army and served his country with great pride and honor during his duty in Egypt.

After his separation from the military at Fort Benning, Randy planted his roots in Georgia. He worked for 28 years as an A&P mechanic for Pratt and Whitney.

Throughout his years, Randy always showed a devout interest with anything mechanical. He loved traveling to car shows and rebuilding engines.

He was preceded in death by his parents with his beloved mother passing away recently in April.

Survivors include his wife of 19 wonderful years, Charlene, Waverly Hall, Ga.; children, Brian (Charity) Harchar, Germany; and Erin Harchar, Florida; brothers, Jerry Harchar, Dallas; and Rudy (Sanok) Harchar, Shalimar, Fla.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and close friends.

Visitation for Randy was held at Cox Funeral Home in Hamilton, Ga., with a graveside service of military honors.
