Raymond E. Petroski of Wilkes-Barre passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, in Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born Oct. 4, 1932, in Hanover Twp., he was a son of the late Adam and Martha Marcincavage Petroski.

Ray was a 1950 graduate of Hanover High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1961.

He was employed as a quality control manager by Muskin Pools, retiring in 1995.

Ray was an avid fly fisherman, he enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Flyers and Penn State.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, on Oct. 18, 2017; son, Martin, on Jan. 5, 2017; brothers, Stanley, Edward, Vincent, Albert, Frank and Joseph Petroski; and sisters, Beatrice Staskiel, Helen Scrabut and Ann.

Surviving are her sons, Philip Petroski, of Wilkes-Barre; and David Petroski and his wife, Romayne, Warrior Run; grandchildren, Danielle Fisher and Eric, Kyle and Luke Petroski; sister, Ernestine Domashinski, of Florida; niece, Evelyn; nephews, Robert and Michael; and several other nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family by Charles V. Sherbin Funeral Home, Hanover Twp.
